WHAT: Public Scoping Meeting WHY: Proposed extension of Abbot Loop Road WHEN: Monday September 15, 2003, 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM WHERE: Kasuun Elementary Multipurpose Room (4000 E. 68th Avenue)
The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities and its consultant, DOWL Engineers, Inc., invite you to
attend a public scoping meeting to learn about the proposed extension of Abbott Loop Road from Abbott Road north to
Bragaw St./48th Avenue.
The purpose of this meeting will be to solicit public comments on the project for consideration during preparation of the
environmental document and the project design.
Pursuant to Executive Order 11990, Protection of Wetlands, notice is hereby given that fill material may be placed in
wetlands as part of this project.
The public meeting will be held in an OPEN HOUSE format and participants may attend at any time during the scheduled
hours. A formal presentation will be made at 7:30 PM. Project personnel will be available to discuss the project and take
public comments.
Persons wishing to submit written comments may:

Comments must be received by 5:00 PM on October 15, 2003 to become part of the official scoping summary report,
however, additional public meetings will be held throughout project development.
