This May and June, the State of Alaska is offering several Alaska Gas Pipeline Project Fairs to provide the public with information on the proposed gas pipeline contract. Following the State's presentations there will be opportunities for Alaskans to voice their opinions through oral and written testimony in a number of ways.
In Anchorage, the Alaska Gas Pipeline presentations will be held on June 2nd and 3rd, at the Egan Convention Center, beginning at 11:00 am. Following the presentations you will have the opportunity to present oral or written comments at public hearings that will begin at 5:00 pm.
In addition, the public can still give testimony in statewide hearings through the Legislative Information Office. The first took place on May 23rd. Two additional meetings will take place on May 30th and June 5th from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm. The Anchorage LIO is located at 716 W 4th Avenue, Suite 200. To contact the LIO, call (907) 269-0111 or email: Anchorage_LIO@legis.state.ak.us. If you are unable to participate at the LIO, you may call in to these meetings at (888) 295-4546 in the same time period.
