HB 549 prohibits attorneys from contacting air crash victims. Amended to clarify that the prohibitions (relating to initiating contact with individuals injured or killed in an aircraft accident do not apply to the activities undertaken or the legal obligations that an air carrier or its insurers may have to provide a passenger with short-term assistance and retain a penalty of a class A misdemeanor but establishes a greater fine of the greater of $100,000 or the amount of the legal fees. Amended to lower the max fine from $100,000 to $10,000 or the greater of fine and legal fees.

HB 551 addresses this issue by requiring the Department of Education revoke the teaching certificate of a person convicted of felony drug charges and also disallows a person from being granted such a certificate if they have been convicted of these charges.
Amended on the floor to allow discretion in rehiring under certain circumstances and remove certain crimes as disqualifiers.
Amended to include a 10 year look-back.
