Dear Friends,

I have heard from many of you that you support an increase on oil production to enhance State revenue as soon as practical. Based on that, I will be supporting a substantial increase for oil production tax and a tax credit factor to give producers an incentive for sustained and enhanced exploration.

I feel confident that what I’m supporting is the right thing to do for the State. However, it is important to me to hear from you on considerations that you feel are relevant and concerns that you have with the above.

The future of our State is in our hands. Let’s work together.
