Greetings from Juneau,

Representative LeDoux will be reviewing several appointments to boards and commissions. Of particular interst are confirmation hearings on the Alaska Commercial fisheries Entry Commission and the Board of Fish. Your input is important. The Governor appoints people to boards and commissions and the Alaska State Legislature approves the appointments just as the President appoints judges to the Supreme Court and the Senate must confirm the selection.

Fisheries Committee News & Update:

House Bill 328: Ban Spawning Areas in Mixing Zones, will be heard again next Friday, January 27th, 2006 from 8:30 a.m.-10:00 a.m. in the House Special Committee on Fisheries. Public testimony will be taken.
