$1 million in carry-over fishery grant money from last year's $13.5 million in federal funds is currently available. This is the grant funding that was intended to fund projects to enhance seafood value. $725,000 was slated for the Port Bailey plant, but when the partnership dissolved, that grant was rescinded. The Department of Community and Economic Development is encouraging people with smaller projects to apply for this round of funding.
