Gross Domestic Product or GDP is standard indicator of economic performance. The GDP of Alaska in 1998 was $26 billion US. If we converted this to Canadian dollars, the total would be around $38 billion for Alaska’s GDP.. IN RELATIVE TERMS THE ALASKA GDP IS 38 TIMES THE SIZE OF THE YUKON GDP AND 20 TIMES THAT OF THE NWT.
