Supplemental Notice
18 AAC 70- changes proposed, will update Alaska's water quality standards to meet EPA requirements for municipal and industrial operations holding a discharge permit. The regulations deal with discharges of toxic material such as gases, radioactivity, deleterious organic and inorganic substances and chlorine. Fish and Game
05 AAC 01.260, 05 AAC 05.360, 05 AAC 06.350, 05 AAC 09.310, 05 AAC 31.505- These are proposals from the Commissioner dealing with various aspects of finfish and shellfish regulations. They include restrictions on seasons, periods for fishing, gear specifications and operations. The proposals also authorize the Commissioner to close or restrict subsistence fishing using emergency regulations. Areas and fisheries affected include: Yukon River King Salmon, Ugashik River Sockeye, Wood River Sockeye, and the Seal Cape section of Area J. Commercial Fishing Entry Commission
20 AAC 05.210-.831- The proposals affect the Kodiak Tanner and King Crab season by combining the currently separate fisheries into one limited entry fishery. Likewise by creating this as a limited fishery, those individuals who do not meet the requirements may find themselves without a permit. The qualification date is 01/01/03. Board of Fish (Meeting Announcement)
05 AAC 15- The Board of Fish will begin holding its next meeting On October 20, 2002, The meeting schedules include Anchorage, 10/20/02 Groundfish in State waters, and Kodiak and Chinook in Lower Cook Inlet , Cordova 12/08/02 Prince William Sound finfish, Sitka 01/20/03, Ketchikan 02/20/03 both for subsistence, and back in Anchorage 03/01/03 for statewide Dungeness crab, shrimp and misc. shellfish Cited Statutes: AS 16.05- AS 16.20 The first written comment period ends, 10/04/02

07 AAC 43.020-.709- Substantive changes are being proposed to coverage and reimbursement policies, eligibility verification, and responses to fraud and abuse of Medicaid. Included are changes to diagnosis codes, outpatient care, length of stay requirements therapeutic transition, prescription drugs, and what actions will be taken against a person defrauding the system.
