Girdwood Open Burning Information

Dear Neighbors:

I have received word of the following from the Girdwood Board of Supervisors (http://gbos.org/) and thought I’d pass it on to you.

Open burning for the fall has been approved. The dates will be September 5 through October 7, 2002.

The Burn Hotline number is 267-5020. Each person should call this number to see if it is an approved burn day. The recording is updated daily with the exception of Saturday and Sunday. The weekend forecast will be determined Friday afternoon. Spruce Bark Beetle burning is available outside the approved dates with a permit.

If you have any questions, please call the Girdwood Fire Department at 783-2511.
