A Second Opportunity
for Loan Extensions for Fisherman
Outreach Work November 9th

(KODIAK) -- Lujean Fedotov, Senior Loan Officer from the Alaska Division of Investments will be in Kodiak doing outreach work with local commercial fishers on Friday ~ November 9, 2001.

"There were many local fisherman who took advantage of a representative coming to Kodiak in October and this is another opportunity for borrowers that need help with loan extension applications or with workouts on existing loans," said Senator Alan Austerman (R-Kodiak/Southeast Islands). Information on loan programs available through the Alaska Division of Investments can be provided as well.

Senator Alan Austerman and Representative Gary Stevens (R-Kodiak) continue to work to bring assistance to fishermen affected by poor seasons and low prices.

Ms. Fedotov will be at the Kodiak Legislative Information Office (LIO) located at 112 Mill Bay Road from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. If you are in need of assistance, but will not be able to go to the LIO when the staff person is in town, please call the division toll free at 800-478-LOAN (5626) or 907-269-8150.

Appointments are not necessary to receive assistance. Please bring copies of your 2000 income tax returns and a copy of your 2001 fish statements if you plan to file an extension application.
