Kohring Calls District Meeting a Success
(WASILLA) - Rep. Vic Kohring (R-Wasilla/Peters Creek) traveled to the Mat-Su on Saturday, March 23 to chair a "town meeting" at Wasilla City Hall to seek input from residents on legislative issues of concern, particularly Kohring's 10-point budget proposal to downsize government and eliminate the deficit. "The turnout was excellent, and I was pleased to receive such strong support of my budget proposal," said Kohring. "Residents of the Mat-Su are angry with the Legislature. They are demanding that government be cut substantially and strongly reject new taxes, yet don't see that it's being done." "I've heard my constituents' message loud and clear and intend to keep fighting to achieve the goal of less government. I will use my proposal as the vehicle to attempt to achieve that." # # # Attachments:
