Legislature OKs Numerous Senate Measures
For Immediate Release: May 12, 1999
Juneau -- A number of Senate measures were approved Wednesday in both houses of the Legislature.
Bills approved by the Senate (including those held for reconsideration):
SB 10: Underground Utility Lines
Sponsored by Senator Dave Donley. Requires Anchorage utilities to have ongoing
program to place existing overhead utilities underground. Passed 13-7, held
for reconsideration.

SB 169: Results Based Budgeting
Sponsored by the Senate Finance Committee. Sets missions for branches of
government and establishes measures by which to judge effectiveness. Passed
16-4. Now goes to the House for consideration.

SB 42: 1999 Revisor's Bill
Sponsored by Senator Dave Donley. Makes changes to State Statutes based
on recommendations of the Revisor of Statutes. Passed 37-3, now goes to the
