Anchorage -- The Co-Chairs of the Anchorage Legislative Caucus are sponsoring a Town Meeting on Saturday, December 11, 1999, from 12:00 noon until 4:00 pm. Senator Dave Donley (Midtown) and Representative Andrew Halcro (Sand Lake) have scheduled the town meeting to provide a forum for Anchorage residents to express their concerns to their legislators before the Legislature returns to Juneau in January. "This is a terrific opportunity for the people of Anchorage to meet with their legislators before they head to Juneau," said Donley. "There are a number of substantial issues we will have to deal with this next session. It is important we hear from our neighbors as we get ready for the next session," continued Donley. "I really encourage people to come out and meet with us," said Halcro. "It is important that the people of Anchorage have an opportunity to sit down with the Anchorage Caucus and let us know their priorities. Roads, schools, juvenile justice, the budget, we need to know how the people of Anchorage prioritize those issues." All Anchorage area legislators have been invited to attend and the meeting is open to the public. The meeting will be held in the Assembly Chambers of the Loussac Library from 12:00 noon until 4:00 pm on Saturday, December 11, 1999. | Top | Senator Donley's Home Page | Representative Halcro's Home Page | |
