House Concurs with Senate Changes to Measure

Juneau -- The Alaska House Monday unanimously concurred with Senate changes to House Bill 112, sponsored by Representative Jeannette James. HB 112 establishes the Alaska Public Building Fund, which would be used to help pay for maintenance and other costs of state-owned facilities.
Under HB 112, occupants of state-owned buildings would pay "rent" into this fund. The Legislature could then appropriate funds from this account to pay operating, maintenance, and other costs of state-owned buildings.
House Bill 112 now goes to the governor for his signature.
