Measure Also Reinstates Involuntarily Dissolved Rural Corporation
For Immediate Release: April 7, 1999 Juneau -- The Alaska House of Representatives Tuesday unanimously passed a Committee Substitute for House Bill 101, which establishes better corporate notification procedures by the Alaska Department of Commerce and Economic Development. This legislation, sponsored by Representative Carl Morgan (R-Aniak), also reinstates the corporate status of a local telecommunications company based in rural Alaska which was involuntarily dissolved. The measure passed by the House is a House Labor and Commerce Committee Substitute for House Bill 101, which adds language for more effective notification procedures to prevent this sort of involuntary dissolution from occurring again. House Bill 101 now moves to the Senate. |
