Juneau -- Senator Sean Parnell, co-chair of the Senate Finance Committee, issued the following statement in response to Governor Knowles' State of the State Address:
"The oil revenue forecasts we heard today confirm the stark reality - low oil prices threaten Alaska's economy. More new taxes simply aren't the answer; we need to tighten our fiscal belts now."
