Juneau -- The historic "State of the Economy" forum opened to a standing room-only crowd at Juneau's Centennial Hall Tuesday, with Alaska business leaders and economic experts providing the factual basis state leaders will need to develop a plan to put Alaska back on firm financial footing. Governor Tony Knowles, Senate President Drue Pearce, and House Speaker Brian Porter hosted the all-day session.
