United Nation's Treaty on Global Warming Devastating to Alaska

Anchorage -- Senator Jerry Ward (R) today encourged all Alaskans to join together to protest President Clinton's signing of the United Nations Treaty on Global Warming. This treaty will be devistating not only to Alasakans but to all of America," said Ward, "this treaty will export an estimated 7 million job in the next ten years to third world countries who are not bound by this treaty, energy taxes will rise by sixty cents per gallon, everything that requires energy to produce will become much more expensive, this treaty will devastate development in Alaska."

A nation-wide trucking strike has been called for this Friday to protest the Treaty on Global Warming. "All around the nation concerned American will be stopping at noon for one hour to protest the signing of this treaty," Ward continued "As Chairman of the Senate Transportation Commitee I support hard working Alaskans protesting to protect their way of life".

The American Policy Center is coordinating the nation-wide strike to call attention to the United Nations Treaty on Global Warming and is calling for a "Strike for Liberty" December 5. "I personally believe our nation has never faced a greater threat to our liberty and lifestyle," says Tom DeWeese, President of American Policy Center. "Vice President Al Gore just admitted that abortion is to be used to weed out the population in the name of Global Warming. That statement alone should spark you to action against the Treaty.

According to a Washington Post article of October 2, at a White House Meeting held for broadcast weather personalities from around the nation, Vice President Al Gore stated that birth control and abortion should be used control global warming.

"It appears to me that the Clinton Administration is taxing Americans to fund the killing of unborn children in third word countries, all in the name of Global Warming," Senator Ward stated, "I urge all Alaskans to contact U.S. Senators Ted Stevens, Frank Murkowski and Congressman Don Young and tell them not to ratify the United Nations Treaty on Global Warming."
