An Act relating to child support.

An act related to the policy and actions of CSED including, but not limited to:

• Interstate court appearances by teleconference and videoconference.
• Streamlining procedures and empowering Alaskans to obtain changes to custody and support court orders in Alaska and other state courts in a timely fashion.
• Providing enforcement of visitation agreements for non -custodial parents, grandparents and siblings.
• Providing for credit or repayment of child support for over payments with interest with enforcement.
• Providing for adequate legal representation for indigent, non-custodial parents.
• Providing for protection of a person delinquent in child support from losing their means of making a living.
• Providing for sanctions against persons who duck their child support obligations by hiding assets and/or quitting their jobs.
• Providing for responsible, verifiable accounting for the distribution of child support funds by the custodial parents to ensure that the funds are actually being expended on the children in question.
