Roadless Policy Meetings
Dear District 18 Residents:
Hearings are being held throughout Alaska regarding a proposed road ban in national forests, and specifically about whether it should apply to the Tongass and Chugach National Forests. Public hearings will be held in Girdwood tonight, June 27th, from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. on Forest Station Road and again tomorrow, June 28th, at the Loussac Library, from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.
I understand that the Forest Service will have sign-up sheets ready at 6:30 p.m. for those who would like to testify in person.
If you are not able to attend these meetings in person, but would still like to comment, you may address written comments to:

I encourage all who have an opinion on this issue to attend one of these meetings and to testify, or to comment in writing. It is an opportunity to have input onto a federal policy that affects Alaska.
