Legislative Budget & Audit Education Study
Dear District 18 Residents:
Happy holidays! While we are all very busy getting ready for presents and celebrations, I have received a request to forward the following information to you. I hope that you will have some time to take a look at it and provide your input.
The Legislative Budget and Audit Committee (LB&A) is conducting a study to determine the level of interest in establishing Regional Learning Centers across Alaska. The purpose of these centers would be to enhance educational opportunities and delivery systems for college preparatory and vocational-technical classes across the state.
To arrive at solid conclusions in a study such as this, public input from all sectors is of utmost importance. So I have been asked to circulate this progress report and request for input to you and ask that you complete it, then send your responses in as soon as possible.
This is an excellent opportunity to participate in the public process of deciding if there is support for the idea of establishing learning centers in several regions across the state in order to provide greater educational opportunities for Alaskan high school students.

- SHORT QUESTIONNAIRE (for general public, students, parents, community members). You may either print this out, fill it in and either fax it or send it in by mail OR you may also fill this questionnaire on line and submit it electronically by clicking on the web version option.
