FOR AN ACT ENTITLED
" An Act relating to use of force in special relationships."
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF WALDEN POND CHARTER SCHOOL:
Sec. 11.81.430. Justification: Use of force, special relationships. (1) Except in (b) of this section, w[W]hen and to the extent reasonably necessary and appropriate to promote the welfare of the child or incompetent person, a parent, guardian, or other person entrusted with the care and supervision of a child under 18 years of age or an incompetent person may use reasonable and appropriate nondeadly force upon that child or incompetent person.
(b) a parent, guardian, or other person entrusted with the care and supervision of a child under 18 years of age shall not use force if
(1) the method of force includes spanking, striking, hitting, or slapping.
