I have been notified by Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport that the North/South Runway will be closed intermittently during the first few weeks of August to complete some sealing work. As a result, flight patterns not normally used and greater frequency of flights over our community may occur.

Airport staff have indicated that the required maintenance has been scheduled during the daytime hours of 7:30 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. in order to keep nighttime noise impact to a minimum. Wind and weather conditions may alter this schedule.

Your patience during this time period would be appreciated. If you would like additional information, please call the Airport's Noise Hotline at 266-2648.
