Sand Lake Water and Sanitary Sewer Meeting
The Anchorage Water and Wastewater Utility will hold a public meeting on Monday, May 23, 2005, beginning at 6:30 p.m., at the Calvary Church, 3800 West 80th Avenue. I plan on being at this meeting to report on any pertinent legislative action. The meeting is to summarize the April meeting information and move into discussion of the balloting process. By the time of this meeting, AWWU advises that the first ballots should be in the hands of property owners within the proposed improvement districts. The first ballot establishes whether the assessment would be calculated on one lot/one vote or by the benefited area method. For additional information, please contact Roberta Piper of AWWU at Roberta.Piper ''@'' awwu.biz or visit the project's web page at: http://www.awwu.biz/public/ Project-exe/DynamicWebFrame.aspx? Legislature
The Legislature is working its way towards the end of its 2005 session. The last day of session should be Tuesday, May 10, 2005, or earlier. I look forward to returning home shortly after the session ends. It normally takes a little over a week for my office equipment to arrive back from Juneau so my office in Anchorage is not scheduled to be staffed until May 23rd -- that's the date our freight should arrive from Juneau and we can start unpacking boxes and setting up our computers. Our Anchorage telephones will be working before that date and my staff and I will be checking messages, so please call if you have a question.
Best regards,
Norman Rokeberg
State Representative
House District 27
