"The bill will most likely go through some changes from the original version, and I want to make sure both groups have an opportunity to understand the legislation that will impact them."
- Rep. Stepovich
(JUNEAU) - The House Special Committee on Military and Veteran's Affairs will conduct a hearing on HB 440, an act relating to Pioneer's and Veteran's Homes. The purpose of the hearing is to provide information for the benefit of the public. To that end, members from the Department of Health and Social Services, and the Governor's Office, will be present to provide an overview and answer questions of Committee members.
"It is important to involve the Pioneers and Veterans in the process. The bill will most likely go through some changes from the original version, and I want to make sure both groups have an opportunity to understand the legislation that will impact them," said Representative Nick Stepovich (R-Fairbanks), Chairman of the Committee.
