(JUNEAU)- Sen. Gary Stevens (R-Kodiak) is expected to make a full recovery after having a kidney stone removed last night. The senator was treated at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, and was released from the hospital this afternoon. He will be in Anchorage over the next few days for routine check ups.
Stevens started feeling ill while home in Kodiak over the Easter weekend. He will return to Juneau Sunday afternoon and expects to be back on the Senate floor Monday.
